Luís Tinoco [b.1969, Lisbon] has graduated in composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. Later, in the UK, he completed an MA in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music and a PhD at the University of York. Luís works as a composer and teacher, at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
While a music programmer and promoter, his collaboration with RTP Antena 2 stands out as author and producer of radio programs and as artistic director of the Young Musicians Award and Festival.
His compositions include chamber, symphonic, ballet and stage music.
Since 2016 he has been an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).
His music is published by the University of York Music Press and is available on monographic CDs on the Odradek, Naxos, Lorelt and Artway NEXT labels.
