Anne Victorino d'Almeida

Anne Victorino d’Almeida is a composer, violinist and teacher born in France in 1978. She has been teaching since 2004 at Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional where she held the position of Assistant Director between 2017 and 2019. Anne was a founding member of Quarteto Lopes-Graça and Quarteto Camões and is the violinist of Rumos Ensemble with whom she has performed in 19 countries on four continents. As an author, her work covers chamber and symphonic repertoire, including soundtracks, music for television and theatre. She was resident composer of the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras and the Festival Gravíssimo! Anne released in 2019 the double CD “A Sombra dos Sentidos” with chamber works of her own authorship, receiving the Harvey Philips Awards in Iowa (USA) for the work “Contos&Improvisos”, and in 2022 the album Trilogia with concertante works. In 2020 Anne has orchestrated the opening credits of RTP’s Telejornal and composed the separators of RTP2, both currently on air. In February 2022 the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra op.78 was premiered at the Philharmonie de Paris, as part of the pre-opening of the Portugal-France Cross Season and the symphonic overture Nazaré, at the Théâtre das Champs-Elysées with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra. In July 2022, Anne chaired the jury of the composition competition of the Póvoa de Varzim International Music Festival. She held from 2019 to 2022 the position of Member of the Board of Directors of OPART, E.P.E.
