Inés Badalo
Inés Badalo (1989) is a Spanish-Portuguese guitarist and composer. She finished her Composition studies at the Superior Music School of Lisbon with Luís Tinoco and is currently studying for a PhD in Music and Musicology, in the specialty of Composition, at the University of Évora.
Inés has received several national and international awards, such as the Composition Prize of the Portuguese Society of Authors / Antena 2 RTP in 2017 (Portugal), FIDAPA Prize of the International Composition Competition “Città di Udine” in 2018 (Italy), International Composition Competition “Manuel de Falla” in 2016 (Spain), Fernando Lopes-Graça International Composition Prize in 2017 (Portugal). In 2019 she won the Composition Prize of the College of Spain in Paris – INAEM (France / Spain).
Her music has been performed by renowned ensembles, soloists and orchestras, including WDR Sinfonieorchester, Plural Ensemble, Hand Werk Ensemble, Sigma Project, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Ensemble vocal Soli-Tutti, Ensemble Sonido Extremo, Neopercusión, Vertixe Sonora, Mikrokosmos Ensemble, Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, Grupo de Música Contemporânea de Lisboa, National Youth Orchestra of Spain, Kuraia Ensemble, OCAZ Enigma, in Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Croatia, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Germany and France.
